Cleaner & Smarter

Improper cleaning and handling of surgical gowns, bedsheets, doctors’ and nurses’ uniforms and other fabric used as part of hospital services, collectively referred to as hospital linen, is a leading cause of hospital-acquired infections in India. Most Indian hospitals, whether private or public, typically manage their linen internally, with average to low efficiency, leading to a high risk of contamination. Shubhram was founded to address this specific need—to provide exceptionally high level of hospital linen management and disinfection.
Founded by medical practitioners, in partnership with Servizi-Italia, Europe’s leading integrated service provider for hospitals, Shubhram provides a holistic linen management service, ensuring effective disinfection, and preventing cross-contamination on-site and in-transit. Their ‘Clean Chain’ accomplished through robust tech and service intervention, sets a new standard for hospital linen management in the country.
Shubhram commissioned Codesign to help create a clear articulation of this underserved aspect of healthcare, and design brand identity to carry its communication impactfully.

Shubhram’s core differentiator was the founders’ background and experience in healthcare both in India and internationally, giving them a unique & informed insight into the technical factors that govern effective disinfection, and awareness of the real-world scenarios in which linen is stored, handled, and used. This sector-specific knowledge became the starting point for brand design.

Shubhram’s visual identity was developed to communicate the the precision and superiority of process and delivery offered by the brand. The sharp and distinctive Sparkle symbol acts as a sign of assurance and authority across a simple and stark language of ‘clean’.
